Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24383 (project wesnoth):
I think this should be elevated to Important.
When I'm playing an 1v1 mp match vs computer, if I have to reload from a save,
all statistics are lost.
At times, part of my strategy in playing when fog is on is to estimate how
many units the enemy has currently that are not visible. Losing the info about
how many units I've killed so far makes this impossible to do.
Estimating is done by using enemy's starting gold, visible units & their gold
cost, likely village captures, units killed so far, etc. Doing this, I've
found I can usually tell that the enemy has X units left to +/-1 accuracy.
Given that, & based on the ai's behavior, I can make better battle decisions.
I think it is likely the ladder crowd would share this concern.
