Follow-up Comment #13, bug #24456 (project wesnoth):
I had a look at a variety of units and the colouring of the attack figure
(white, red, green) seems mostly used for units whose damage is affected by
the time of day. While abilities like leadership and illuminates do affect the
colouring (when they boost the damage potential of allies), it looks like
weapon specials do not (eg backstab).
I sense the potential for further confusion if we try to account for every
possible combination (eg leadership + charge with a lawful unit at night), but
I suppose it might be a nice feature. I don't know which bit of the code deals
with this, though.
All this is getting away from the original discussion on the bug itself. Are
we in agreement that the core of this issue is not a bug? Maybe we can add the
charge damage colouring as a feature request?
