The reason is that somewhere early in 1.3 the option to play an MP campaign got broken, since it was no mainline it bitrotted away. Since a few months I've been quite busy getting this feature to work again. When we have mainline MP campaign those bugs be much higher priority. MP campaigns now work but still have quite some minor problems, which unfortunately can't be fixed before 1.4 without risking to break other stuff. So I want to look at those bugs in 1.5 and getting MP campaigns to work properly.
