I have been collecting every assertion I can find in the mainline
campaigns about the geography and key locations of Irdya.

The results are visible at

    http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Geography_of_Wesnoth

There is a new section "Campaign References " that lists in detail all the
assertions I found about the Great Continent.

To simplify explanations, I have invented some new toponyms:

* The Heart Mountains: General term for the major range surrounding
Lake Vrug. Includes the Mountains of Thoria in its northern portion
and Knalga in the southern arm.

* The River Listra: the tributary of the Great River running south
  nearest the eastern map edge.

* The Three Sisters: The three unnamed isles north of Alduin. (I
  actually invented this one some time ago while revising Liberty;
  I think I've mentioned it on-list before.)

* The Estmarks: This is the range of hills with "Eastern Lands" on it
  on the main Wesnoth map.

* The Horse Plains: the wide plain between the Estmarks and the
  Dulatus Hills.

There is one feature on the map that has no fewer than three names in
canon. It's the river running out of Lake Vrug to the Listra; on the
map it is labeled "Glloq" on the map, but in HttT Kalenz says that men
call it "Longlier" and the elves call it "Arkan-Thoria".

Is that really supposed to be "Glloq"? If so, how soon can we fix it?

"Since there is no such entity as 'the public,' since the public is merely a
number of individuals, the idea that 'the public interest' supersedes private
interests and rights can have but one meaning: that the interests and rights of
some individuals take precedence over the interests and rights of others."
