I have used TortoiseGit lately, and it worked fine. So I think there's
no reason to worry about that.
OTOH the Tortoise* apps are pretty good itself, and updated regularly in
case something buggy emerges.

A little update about wescamp conversion:
I've fully downloaded the repository over rsync, so I can continuously
update it until we finally switch.
The svn2git found at gitorious[1] uses a rules file to determine where
each commit should go and some simple tests show that this works
properly. Dependencies: Qt4, libapr, libsvn.
I've chosen to go with the<add-on>-<version> format for now, as the
other leaves the question of which branch should be the master. (git
can function without a master branch, but not nicely)
I've written a script to generate a rules file for svn2git[2]
(dependencies: python, pysvn), it does the job, though svn2git has a
problem with r1891. Currently, an empty match block should be added to
the end, as the /trunk tree doesn't match anything yet.
A wescamp account has been created on github. I am still in the
process of setting it up.
Current questions:
- -TortoiseGit/TortoiseHg+hg-git: Does anyone have any recent
experience with these?
- -What should we do with the things under /trunk as opposed to a
version branch? Make the version 'svntrunk' or something like that?
