Thanks Anonymissimus for this good summary. Besides all the bugs and code quality, the ease of use looks to me like it could be a massive problem. To be acceptable, the t_token's would probably have to be wrapped in a lot of syntactic sugar, a bit like boost does with its advanced constructs. Said sugar should be developed outside the main wesnoth code until it looks like an acceptable syntax for everyday use.
If Anon's assessment of the situation is correct and unless there is a radically different point of view on this story, I favor a revert. For the record, I don't think I have built at all upon thonsew's changes, so I can easily deal with a revert to 1.9.9 (or even to before thonsew's unit map changes) if that's deemed necessary. gabba 2011/10/4 <[email protected]> > [complete exposé of the situation] > >
