-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi everybody! GSoC is over now. As you might know from last year, there is also a program dedicated at High School students that are less than 18 years old and because of this not eligible for GSoC. In case you don't know/remember what it is about, have a look at [1]. We participated last year and tasks included giving feedback about scenario balancing, translating as well as some smaller coding tasks. The question now is: do we want to try to participate in GCI? This would require creating *lots* of smaller tasks that can take anything from 2 to 6h to finish. And with *lots* I mean even more than you might think right now. If we were to apply, we'd also need mentors that have some time to create the tasks and review the work done in a timid manner.
Last year Crab_ was handling GCI and has done a great job of doing so. Personally I have the impression that there are not enough tasks available at the moment so that participating in GCI would make sense. Comments? Cheer, Nils Kneuper aka Ivanovic PS: If we want to participate the deadline is November 1st. So I basically won't have the time to write/commit the application since I'll be in the US at that time without much internet access with a device that allows "easy" typing.
