Not sure of the importance we want to assign to it, but there are
definitely some weird bugs with the lobby server under certain
circumstances.

With a similar setup i.e. manually setup server with --verbose and running
under gdb, I also had recuits (regular ones, not the whiteboard planned
actions) not showing up on the other client. I won't have time to look
further into the issue.
