Dear Victor,
Thanks for the observation and complaint registered about the way the WNF
business is being conducted. While I agree with you on the need to be focused
and push for the agenda of the greater West Nile development, I find your
remarks about WNF being Ombaci OB thing diversionary and divisive. The fact is
that there are many Ombaci OBs in the West Nile net, but this does not in any
way make them to drive the agenda of the WNF. The suggestion to the Ombaci OBs
is to use their group mailing list to discuss issues that are exclusive to
SJOCOBA!
I also note from your submission that you seem to insinuate that the Foundation
is tending towards a social club simply because the response on the West Nile
Night was overwhelming. I see it differently. We can and should, in my opinion,
use all avenues for mobilising members to join the foundation and take part in
it. In this way, we stop seeing the West Nile Night as an end, but rather as a
means to and end.
The big challenge, I believe where we should all focus our energies is how to
get the Foundation Registered, complete its strategic plan, get members
enrolled and proceed in a coordinated way. In order to do this, all of us are
equally responsible as we have the same stake in the development of the Region.
While the leadership of the Foundation is emerging, we need to support them
with constructive ideas and volunteer our own time to lend in our professional
skills where we see there is a need. We can not afford to be by-standers and
point accusing fingers at others (virtual or real!)
For members who feel that the solution to the challenges experienced during the
formative stages of the Foundation is to pull out, I wish to advise them to see
the positive side of things and correct where there are mistakes.
I rest my case and look forward to positive energy in the discussion
Cheers.

Subject: [WestNileNet] Re: WNF Commitment and Focus Crisis
Dear Comrades, hoping that all of us are fine, I am again registering an
observation in form of a complain. As an enthusiastic person ready to embrace
any course for bettering the future of West Nile, I always get disgusted by the
lack of commitment we display in getting hold of our destiny.
I was and still am hopeful that West Nile Foundation is a resource to treasure
as a platform for bringing together all the Learned Sons and Daughters of the
Region; and West Nile Net a Medium to coordinate issues but the passiveness so
far exhibited is alarming. I suppose we all have personal commitments and
activities but since we chose to be part of this effort, we need to manage our
activities in order to have time for supporting WNF. Without our contributions,
efforts and commitments, the foundation will surely wither.
For instance when the issue of Seed Project showed up, there were no
submissions to further the discussion but when it was West Nile Night and
SJOCOBA, a good number were active and this shows how we all have the time to
focus and commit ourselves into a piloting force in attempts to transform our
region but the Will and Focus seems to be lacking. A member opted to be
deregistered partly because of the seemingly defocuses as he wondered whether
WestNileNet is an Ombaci OB thing.
Dear friends, I strongly believe there is nothing a Committed Deliberate Effort
cannot do; nothing is above its reach, it can destroy bad Mindsets, Principles
and Practices and create good ones and it can transform anything. This is the
only thing we lack in west Nile.
May we please get on truck; focus on strategies of reaching the grassroots to
achieve the main objectives of the Foundation.
For God and West Nile Foundation.
