Dear Longo Emmanuel,
I am utterly dismayed by your phrase "Unfortunately, the business community
(Arua Boys) or what we would call the private sector have led us enough. It is
our turn as intellectuals!"
This is a very unfortunate phrase which i consider you made either in bad faith
or utter carelessness or simply bad choice of words.
Calling names or branding some sectors of our society is one of our biggest
weaknesses as Westnilers and i thought we had transcended that school of
thought at our current levels of "civilisation".
How much progress and development have what you brand as Arua Boys done in
Uganda? How much taxes do we contribute annually to the GDP of Uganda?Do you
realise how much influence we have in West Nile or what capacity we have?
When were you last in West nile?
Do you realise that many of us "Arua Boys" have traversed the Capitals of the
Globe and known how much Businessmen and Entreprenuers have done to develope
some of the outstanding economies of this world?
Unless WNF respects every sector of our community, then some of us better off
unsubscibing and minding our own businesses.
Can we mind our choice of words as we strive to uphold the tenets of WNF and
that of our communities?
Thank you,
Angubo.
