Caleb,
Your boldness and determination to swim where others never dare is perhaps what
defines and distinguishes you. This morning, I called Counsel Ondoma; though he
hadn’t got  a call from you on the subject matter, he was very positive about
getting involved. Today i also met Senior Commercial Officer, the person
responsible for tobacco issues at Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry. He
was quick is recognize the problem, and in my presence called Tobacco Inspector
and a senior official of Continental Tobacco directing them to quickly organize
a meeting to iron out this anomaly.

What is yet to be seen is whether his directives will be complied with. For
purposes of gaining in-depth understanding into all farmer concerns, i
would think a meeting between your Partner and farmers prior to the general one
involving all stakeholders be held. This would also allow intervention from an
informed point of view. Depending on preliminary findings, it would give leeway
to Mr. Male's proposal of fundraising to support this struggle. If this is okay
with you, we could proceed to announce a meeting of all farmers this coming
Saturday.

Please let me have your phone number for easy liaison.

I hope we'll rise to this challenge!

This is a good case for Public interest litigation. I will instruct the Partner
in my firm in charge of Arua Office to take it up and we shall discuss the way
forward. If you are in Arua, can you get in touch with Ondoma Sam at O.B.Plaza
Road. He is on 0772358452. I understand you are doing a good job down there....
keep it up
