Deat WNF,
Its true we need to put more efforts in educating the farmers of the hazard's
to human health, environment and benefits of tobacco to them. First pound
farmers with current starving hunger in the entire region and other easy
problems they can understand. but do not forget using flyers and billboard
messages. if it mean more lobbying support the women fight against Tobacco
world health organization department. These guys will never go for free believe
me if we are united to work on that. After all we have good number of health
workers they need to play more role than other advocates.

Thanks Ejiku for letting us know about this story, I was not able to read the
papers yesterday. Thanks to Caleb and the team for taking this up and Lee who
has taken the lead.

I find it annoying when the continental manager says, the farmers will be the
loosers if they dont accept their terms. This is just to creat fear in the
farmers. If the farmers refuse to grow tobacco then what happens to
continental. Whoever is dealing with these farmers should help them know that
there are better alternatives to tobacco growing. And this is why I thought
advocacy along side this case would be an added advantage. Because this
particular case may be won but the main issues will still remain.

Thanks

Christine

Brother Lee,

It has just appeared in the newspaper of today. Good work and its conclusion
will now be more important.
