So blackberry's are working ok over there. Here in London there is no problem ,
our problem is the job cuts that have created a lot of anxiety amongst many
civil servants as each department and sector has to find an austere manner in
which to utilise the budgets that they will have and some budgets have been
reduced.

The charity and voluntary sector have also been affected as funding has also
been scaledd back , some projects have simply had their funding stopped. So
many
people find themselves now out of paid work , as many organisations can only
afford to keep on unpaid  staff or volunteers, some can be exploitative and
well
many would prefer a salary and not below the minimum wage and by London's
standards realistically it would be £8- £9 minimum wage for a person living
alone with rent , utility , transport, food (prices keep rising even the other
day the price of bread going up), with no sapre cash or little if  any for
entertainment. And that is hyperthetically conjuring up a situation of someone
on the lower end of the scale. Over there you are lucky you have shambas yu do
not need to all the food you need to eat daily. Supermarkets and corner shops
are making money as people cannot do without food.

those who got on the mortgage bandwagon, ( the l do not rent l have a mortgage
type,  find themselves in a difficult situation as banks aren't keen lend money
as before ), West End Extra online the local paper will give you guys an
insight
of what we in the diaspora are faced with. Oh , there is the working poor who
as
it happens are heavily taxed, kyeyos fall in this bracket, to send money back
home. . So spare a thought for those in the diaspora.

I enjoy the discussions, lakini sometimes mdomo yenyu kali.

Politics over here is the same if not worse , on Radio 5 live today on one of
the phone in's there was talk of a general strike, that is how angry many
people
are with the new government especially the conservatives.

Not much to say , nilisoma about marhemu Binaisa, 'eno entebe ewoma', May he
rest in peace  and Greetings to all.
