Dear Colleagues,

One thing I have come to discover from this forum is
talk,talk,talk,...............,zero resolution and therefore no real action to
back it up !

We risk being irrelevant to the very issues that we are championing for
advancement-in my view the only useful thing we're doing now is improving our
writing skills which is not a bad thing anyway and gaining knowledge that has
no practical use or application in our situation !!!!

I want to see the executive harness resources, harmonise views, consolidate
ideas, seriously follow up issues, and assert itself to direct and take
leadership in line with WND goals and objectives,I want to see and know the
actions that have so far been taken by the leadership in this forum on all
isues discussed.

I told one of my colleagues doing his higher degree to refer to this forum to
get  some information for his thesis paper and he was amused at first about
this and he has now taken to following up WND for reference-I hope it is
applicable knowledge.

By the way the above is in no way blaming anybody and they're my personal
views-take it or leave it.

Milton

Dear Christine and all,

I would like to thank Christine for this information, I dont know how many
people in the forum have been following this (including those in Arua) but one
thing I would like to bring to the attention of all is this. The successes
scored by the Mvara Students in the district, regional, national and
international debates provide an opportunity for this forum to tap into the
potentials that exist within our region and motivate students in other schools.

A debate on number of students admitted into universities raised in this forum
ended with a very low tone with no concrete discussions on what next to persue.
Although not sectioned directly in the WNF strategic plan, debates need to be
supported and encouraged. One of the objectives of WNF indicated is:

Excellency awards to be administered by the Executive of the
Foundation. This will be given to the best performing schools in National Exams
and will be administered yearly. The rational is to encourage competition among
the schools.

Very brillian objective above but with no actionable basis so far. If we are to
use the building blocks approach to develop our region, we have one such block
already to improve academics in the region. Why dont we pick up from this?
Meanwhile, even as MOSA prepares to reward and recorgnise the school (Debating
club) for this performance, I think it is something worth embracing as a region.

Thanks, over to you.

Sam Ejibua

Dear all,
I am sure you should have heard this news especially those in Arua. Mvara SS
won the recently held Westnile debate tournament. I was also told that Muzamil
went upto semifinals in Netherlands in mix debates and he was so impressive.
I hope that MOSA will say or do something about this progress.

Thanks

Christine
