Dear Okuit, thanks for this quick action. Thanks to Dr. Worodria for opening our eyes on a number of issues, especially the issue of too much hygiene for children being bad sounded new and strange for most of us but this is a scientific fact.
To all members, I would like to say that from yesterday on, science cafes in kampala will be managed by the committee whose names Okuti has given. The committee will be chaired by Joseph Dramadri and the publicity and documentation will be led by Okuti and Kivumbi. I will no longer be communicating on behalf of kampala committee unless requested. Okuti has therefore taken on his job seriously and thanks to him. The commitee chairman will officially communicate to members. The Kampala group has seen the benefit of cafe and have agreed to continue with it once every month. They will be working together with Entebbe group and if we start in Arua, the three committees will be working together. Science cafe in Uganda is a brain child of a westniler and this was reported in WHO news bulletin as a lead story on last Friday and copy of the article was shared with members at the discussion. You can access a copy from the WHO website, just open the WHO bulletin, you will find pictures of the the westnilers taking malwa in Entebbe. local langauge cafe is unique to uganda and is our own idea, let us therefore support it and work together to ensure our people benefit from it. Last year I did a lobby presentation in Geneva for local language cafe when I went for my official meetings and this resulted into this article. WHO Uganda is not yet officially involved but I have already shared it with my colleagues there and they have encouraged this to continue and they want to get involved but there are some things we need to sort out before we engage them fully. I thank all the members of the committee for accepting responsibility and wish them all the best and thanks to all members who attended the yesterday's presentation. Unfortunately our ladies didnt turn up but something intersting about children was shared and they missed. Guys please talk to your madams to attend such discussions for the benefit of your families. We normally say if you educate a woman, you educate the whole nation. Ladies, men are very powerful because of knowledge and women emancipation cannot work if we like being uninformed. Please dont miss the next. When men die women and children are the ones to be robbed of the property of the deceased becuase society thinks all property belongs to the man. Please come to hear hear with your own ears so that you can be prepared when the unfortunate event happens.
