Dear Friends, Many times good ideas are brought up, shot at and never re-surface and in the process, we dont harmonise views and opinions of all. I guess the enthusiasm of some members at the time of posting the certificate of incorporation should have been tapped when members were still in high gear. The question I remember Fr. Ruffino asking was; After the certificate, what next? To this point, this question has not been conviniently answered. These and many other unexplained issues may be the reason for the alarm bells. However, in responding to some of these issues, we are seemingly answering issues that were being sort by members. As much as I agree with Counsel Alaka that these issues cannot be casually run, it is also prudent that within the glass walls we live in, we should be seen to be taking the right steps in the right direction.
My humble request is that a guided information be provided to members so that they know which direction the foundation is taking. From the basics, provide members a copy of the memorandum and articles of association of WNF to read and understand their rights and responsibilities as members. After this, a time plan of activities can be posted so to anable mobilisation and generation of ideas towards the same (In this case, working towards achieving the SP). Otherwise, I am sure all of us appreciate and support this initiative and should sail with it. It will be counter productive to kill this initiative and voluntarism at the expense of a good social cause. This is my humble opinion. Sam Ejibua
