They do not know what is happening. Even the District Land Board is perplexed. The District officials are at a loss. Rumour is that its Tullow oil to which the land has been given. I also understand that NFA has not de-gazetted the forest and has a Memorundum of understanding with Arua Municipal Council for the Municipal Council to use the land upon giving the alternative which the Municipal Council acquired in Logiri. As for the resolution, it can just be our consensus on the net. But let any other person with information share it with us. Remember the culture of land grabbing is entreching it self in Uganda. It is only the Acholis who have resisted it, lets see what we can do On 12/14/10, aliti candia <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear all, > > I was in Arua last week end and indeed part of the forest just opposite > mayors > residence, next to the NFA arua Office has been cleared for ' i was made to > understand construction of 40 units of modern residential houses'.
