Dear friends, I feel very sorry for what has happened to our brothers and
sisters; it could have happened to anyone of us if we were togather in the
same bus. I think this is getting too much of our country and transport
companies.
It pains me that every now and then our people perish in fatal motor
accidents and the best done is only to burry the dead. Rarely do the
responsible people face the law. Some time back B.A.T company made several
people to die and to me nothing much was done. From time to time people
travelling in buses and open lorries like students die and we only end up
buying beautiful coffins, food stuff to be eaten during the funerals and
sending sweet condolence messages.
Where is the arm of the law? When will justice reign? Who will ever
sacrifice on behalf of the poor people sue the offenders and defend the our
people. Even if they are sued, who can obtain justice in our judicial system
well known for bribes though difficult to prove?
Obtaining justice in our country now is like getting water from the rock
like Moses did in the O.T. If your God is not tough, rich and perhaps
corrupt enough, you mail miserably fail. You must accept to be tossed
between a rock and a hard place before you are given your right.
I wish I was a civil lawyer.... perhaps I'm talking too much of what I don't
know. I hope that this time justice will really reign otherwise things are
moving the wrong direction.
