Hi comrades, This is a serious social problem and with continued growth and development of a society, unless we lay appropriate strategies, it can not be easily handled. What appropriate alternatives are there for such vulnerable groups who only have that the option of doing the odd busines to support themselves and homes, including children abundoned by farthers/ophans, is something to think about. It takes us back to how the economic conditions of our people can be enhanced through other supports like businesses, self and formal employment.
This could even be the same reason why the number of street children begging at traffic points in Kampala has not reduced much. Thanks Onzoma A.
