digital inclusion through the use of
ICT in education which aims at improving the quality of education by developing
innovative modules of ICT-based education, teaching-learning methods, and
curriculum/materials development, distance education and communication”.

And is it is set to again From 3rd Jan- 5th Feb 2012
‘ICT training for teachers,  the
project  that has been well researched
& developed by CommSoft ICT Tech and in conjunction with COM-Tech ICT
Solutions (U)ltd responding to: (a) Its function
to develop better awareness, understanding and
appreciation of the role of ICT in education. (b)
Promote better understanding on how ICT can enhance various teaching

And same goes for us in CommSoft ICT Tech/COM-Tech ICT

and training programs to the ‘ICT Training for Teacher Professional Development’
matrix of skill sets in an attempt to streamline the global efforts in the this
general area thus creating an ICT effect
in Uganda.

Teachers’ ICT training, in basic skills is a deliberate
attempt in equipping Teachers with the latest global roaming technology.  This
has been our field of operations for the
last Nine (9) months.  Among other things
we provide to teachers currently in classroom (civil servants) the latest
devices   for global roaming i.e. Laptops on loan
schemes, as well as preparing future teachers to provide technology rich
experiences through the “ICT Training for Teacher professional Development”
project.
Standards and resources within CommSoft & Com- Tech ICT Solutions (U) ltd.

Living, learning and working successfully in an increasingly complex,
information-rich and knowledge based society, students and teachers must
utilize technology resource effectively & equally.  Within a sound educational
setting,
technology enables students to become;

·
Capable
information technology users ,

·
Information
seekers, analyzers, and evaluators,

·
Problem
solvers and decision makers

·
Communicators,
collaborators, publishers and producers

·
Informed,
responsible, and contributing citizens etc

And Beside these, today’s classroom teachers’ need to be
prepared to provide technology supported learning opportunities for their
students. Teachers need to be prepared to empower students with the advantages
technology can bring. Schools and classrooms environment, both real and
virtual, must have teachers who are equipped with technology resources and
skills and who can effectively teach the necessary subject matter content while
incorporating technology concepts and skills available at their disposable.
However,
all these above are coming to teachers at affordable price that you cannot
afford to miss. Our programs run on every holiday year through and throughout
the country. For this holiday, we are in Arua, and Bwera- Kisinga (kasese)
Western part of Uganda.
