Dear All, I called the number and spoke to a person whom I presumed sounded like a woman and calling herself Kalibala claiming to be working for the New Vision.Those who are in Kampala should try and speak directly to the mother of the alleged victim in person and get more details and inform us.I asked Kalibala to provide her e-mail which she gave as [email protected] and asked her to send me details from this e-mail account. I began speaking to Kalibala without much details but she was able to provide a consistent story,apparently the girl is wounded internally and it sounded like she is developing a septic wound in her internal organs as claimed by Kalibala. Christine,can you please physically go to Mulago or contact Kalibala where in Mulago the alleged victims are. Kalibala apparently claims not to know the victims but only intervened when police called her over the case.I couldn't readily establish why the police had to call her of all people to assist the victims. She was also not sure of what is happening to the woman's husband but I could see allegations made against the alleged victim as noted in the e-mail below. It appears if true the case has not been fully investigated but Kalibala mentioned. Milton

They only depend on hospital food, the girl only has one cloth, no blanket etc. They put a number on the newspaper for any help(0782811445). The girl suffers the consequence of domestic violence, she was defiled in the abscence of her the mother who ran away after a fight with the husband.
