Here is yet another report by the Koboko Joint University Students Association (KOJUSA) in 2012.
KOJUSA members spend every summer in koboko district sensitizing parents and students on the importance of education. This was one of outcomes of a concerted effort by the community to address the deterioration of education in the district and west nile as a whole. We therefore wish to open up the platform and welcome your views in regard to this study by releasing this preliminary report which you will find in the attachment to this mail. Please feel free to analyse, constructively criticise and make possible suggestions on how this information can help us cub the great academic challenges facing our district. We strongly believe that this report has come out timely, ahead of the annual Koboko youth conference and Koboko Day and would therefore wish to release the final report before these two events which are normally scheduled for December. Hence we humbly appeal to all those who wish to submit their input to do so before 30th of November so as to help us to prepare the final report in time. Alongside the research and school tour program this year, KOJUSA also carried out a pilot tree planting project by planting a few trees in most schools visited with the support of the District Forestry Office. We apologise for the failure to plant trees in other schools which was attributed to the untimely delivery of the seedlings. However, we intend to make it an annual program, in a bid to promote a "greener " Koboko and provide a conducive atmosphere for learning at schools. Thanks for you support for us in our struggle to achieve "the Koboko we want." Alemi Emmanuel Todoko, Chairperson, KOJUSA<[email protected]> P. O.
