While we all agree that national issues in Uganda have direct or indirect impact on us in West Nile, we have a lot of intelligent elected representatives who should take active role in articulating issues affecting not only WN region but Uganda at large. If there are forums where there are discussions on national issues, please let everyone know on this forum. Staying aloof from national issues is not the greatest strategy. If you are invisible, why should anyone care much anyway? Front runners will always pick the best prices in the contest/competition. There is popular wisdom that says" Charity starts at home". Perhaps there is a lot of sense where YOU CLEAN YOUR OWN HOUSE BEFORE YOU START TALKING ABOUT DIRT IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOME. The West Nile Centenary celebrations would be a very good timing to reflect on:
- Our successes and failures today. - Look back on our failures in the past 50 years. - Redirect or reshape our vision for the future generations. - Lay a strong foundation for economic development and prosperity. - Celebrate our diversity and rich culture. I congratulate and salute people who have taken on this initiative seriously . Please print colorful t-shirts and make them available. This may be a good business opportunity for someone enterprising to take a challenge on.
