Picture: The driver posted a great selfie with a happy Pope yesterday.

In 4 months Uganda will welcome a special guest. Pope Francis will set foot
in the country for a 3 day visit (27th-29th Nov 2015).
Our nation will become the only African country visited by three different
popes.
The first was Pope Paul VI (1969). He paid his respects to the Namugongo
Martyrs - the Catholics, the Anglicans and the Protestants. It would be a
great unifying gesture if the Muslims are also remembered this time.
Our last papal visit was Pope John Paul II in 1993.
As Pope Francis visits Uganda, there surely will be special prayers for the
late Archbishop Luwum.
Two official inquests were conducted on the circumstances surrounding the
Archbishops death. These important reports are the only official records
ever made on the matter, but have mysteriously remained hidden from the
public to this day. They are:
- Uganda Police report 1977,
- World Council of Churches (WCC) report 1984.
My personal request is for both to be availed to the public, particularly
to the concerned families.
It is important to note that after their inquest, the Vatican couldn't
grant Luwum saint status. Why exactly?
Meanwhile, many Ugandans are already excited about Pope Francis' visit.
Plans for the event seem to be on track as possibly millions of Ugandans
and people from neighbouring countries are expected to pack the streets.
Many around the world consider him to be the most humble and down to earth
pope ever.
