This was for practice. Then he made school boards." I wonder what Mr. Twain would think of MIT's latest educational initiative? As promised, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has released lecture notes, course outlines, reading lists, assignments, and practice exams for 500 courses, covering 33 academic disciplines and material from all 5 MIT schools. This incredible resource, called OpenCourseWare (OCW), is an educational initiative developed by MIT to provide a "free and open educational resource for faculty, students, and self-learners around the world." MIT, known for its innovation in collaborative and distance learning projects, was inspired by the open source software movement. Faculty members have expressed the hope that OCW will encourage other universities to follow their initiative and join them in this "unprecedented step in challenging the privatization of knowledge." We hope you'll take advantage of this great learning opportunity. >> See our complete definition for OpenCourseWare http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci540010,00.html?track=NL-37 >> Go directly to MIT http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html After you stop by MIT, let us know what you think!
