Need help setting up monitoring services on processor usages, memory, hard
drive. I am very new to using SNMP. So really dont know how to explain my
situtation but I will give it a try. MY GOAL: Is to monitor the hard drive
space, performace, and memory (there's more, but you get the idea)on my
servers. I have installed the plug-in for Snmp Threshold. The WUG server is
running Win Nt 4.0. I ran the Perfm.bat on the server I wanted to monitor.
I tried to get the processor portion for this server. I received two
files: perfmib.ini and permib.mib which I copied to the WUG server.
According to one of the KB articles it said to delete (I moved them) the
DEFS.txt, MIB,txt, and Traps,txt fiel from the WUG directory. From there i
ran the "mibextra" on the folder (MIB). Which recreated the 3 files (Def,
Mib, and Traps). Then I copied back the original into the new Mib and Trap
file like the KB article said to do. This is where I got really confused.
As you didnt noticed..lol. There is NO real help within WUG, there support
referred me to here.
If anyone could make out what I am try to ask, I would be very appreciative
if you can point me in the right direction.
