I'll second his inquiry about the quiet button. It's greyed out for me,
both on the drop down menu and the toolbar icon.
As for the "console response" entry, I believe that just looking at the
problem map constitutes a console response and prevents the alert from
going out. You have to check off the option in the alerts properties box
that says to send out the alert even if there is a console response.

Dear all
I am unsure why 'Valid alert not processed due to console response' appears
in my WUP event log.
I assume it is when the Acknowledge Alerts feature is used..
Is that correct?
If I never use this feature why should it appear?
Also does anyone know where the mysterious 'quiet button' is?
