Use the following to check your server.
To check an SMTP mail Server for Relay.
Commands you type are in BOLD.
Telnet server address port 25
220 SMTP SERVER NAME
helo domain.com
250
mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250
rcpt to: there@an address not on the local server.com
I use my Yahoo account so that I can check delivery
Server should reply with relay not Authorized
rcpt to: there@an address on the local server.com
250
data enter message ... end message with a period on a
newline .
