Well, I'll quote an age old standard... "better is always better". Not to sound sarcastic. I have mine set at 1600x1200 on a 21inch monitor. Makes it much better to be able to see the maps. This of course depends on the size of the maps you are monitoring and the size of your network. So the short answer is yes, it does make a difference.
