Goto Configure -> Custom Services
Click New (type in the name for the Custom Service and select TCP/IP Service)
Fill in the port # (25) and timeout that you want
telnet to your SMTP server
copy the SMTP Banner message (note if you are connecting to an IMail server leave off 
the last set of numbers as those change with every connection) and put it in the 
Expect On Connect. 

Then you can test it with the send on connect and expected responses
and sned quit to disconnect.
