That's exactly what you do - although I would just copy and paste into my
favorite text editor and then save to disk.

There are a couple of caveats:

1) Save the file with the right name. ie, "CHECKPOINT-MIB DEFINITIONS" =>
CHECKPOINT-MIB or CHECKPOINT-MIB.MIB

I prefer giving an extension.  It means that I can have a file association
with a MIB browser or my editor.

2) Whatever extension you choose for your MIBs make sure that they are
always the same.  MIBExtra has a problem when MIBs defined in the IMPORTS
section have a different extension.

3) Examine that IMPORTS section of the MIB and grab anything defined there.
Thus,  from the Checkpoint MIB (and following 2) above) you would want:

        RFC1155-SMI.MIB
        RFC-1215.MIB
        RFC-1212.MIB

4) Run MIBExtra.
