Jason,

I'm in the same boat, What I did was to create a html coded line and insert
it in Info Line 1: for the device, From there I could actually get to the
device and do some checking from there, Here is an example...

<html><a href="http://Unit:[EMAIL PROTECTED]";>Connect to this Access
Point.</a></html>

I'm trying to try to get a handle on all of our Wireless Access Points out
in the field. I have close to 700 out there now and I plan to have another
300 to 500 here to install after July. I've been trying to also create a
more sophisticated device type for the Access Points, as of now I'm only
checking them with ICMP and the small web based server that is in each one.
I have used Info Line 2: for the settings of each access point and also have
their exact locations noted. THere is just to many out there to try to
remember where they are all installed....
With the above setup I can actually drill down/login to the device.
Hope this helps,

By the way I'm running 6 and have patched it to ver 6.02
Is there anyone else out there monitoring Wireless Access Points?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Web Broswer Maps

How can I set up a heirarchal map that I can drill down to several subnets
via a web browser.
Currently, If I click on a map link it opens that map and thats it. I tried
to link maps to each other so I can drill down to smaller
subnets/containers. But I can't get it to work with the web broswer.

Any one have ideas or samples ?

thanks,
Jason Stepp
