Finally i think i am going to do it this way. We will create a dumb service for that purpose, just an open port .
In WhatsUp ; 1- monitor the service 2-Create a program notification that remotely stop the service 3-Create a program notification that remotely start the service 4-Add an alert that will call the stopservice notification on the reception of the SessionStarted trap 5-Add an alert that will call the startservice notification on the reception of the SessionEnded trap I tried it using the telnet service and it works great except for a little annoying thing. Since the polling is done every 10 minutes there is a gap between the start of the session and the changing of the color. So i have another question . Is it possible to poll a device from the command line. If so i could add the line in my program notification and everything would be perfect.
