I am monitoring routers using frame-relay ccts at customers and at the
moment we use ping to see if they are up or down. Using ping does not give
us enough information however, so I have decided to use SNMP to monitor the
Abit status which when the cct is down and gives some more information as to
the cause. This requires me to set up a custom service for the each PVC
(DLCI). While this is ok, it seems that I have to set up a custom service
to report that the PVC has gone down and another one for when it comes back
up.

At the moment this is not too bad as we only have 15 customers but this will
soon increase to over 100. This means that I will have over 200 entries!!
Is there any other way that I can do this or somehow get Whatsup to
automatically send an UP once the DOWN states changes? I know that there is
this feature but is it only for pings?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
