Hi, all.

I'm ready to move my WUG 7.02 application to a new, beefier Win2K Advanced
server. Not particularly sure how and what files to transfer. I get a
fresh installation of the application up on the new server. Now I want to
move over all of my maps/settings/configurations/contexts/etc. All I've
been able to find in the knowledgebase is how to move the web users list,
how to import the context, and how to export my open maps on startup list.

Do I want to do an export/import function and capture every one of my map
files and map setting files? Then import/export certain Registry files as
instructed for the knowledgebase functions listed above???

Also, seeing that this server is dedicated to WhatsUp polling and nothing
else, I don't figure to need the fastest processor and the most RAM. I'm
currently monitoring about 400-500 devices across about 80-100 maps. My
current install is on a desktop machine, a 400mhz with 384 megs of RAM, and
using 3.75 gig of drive space. I'm moving it onto a server-class machine.
I wanted to bump up the processor a bit and increase my drive space and
mirror it. I'll have to settle for overkill, though. I've got a ProLiant
1600 with dual 400s and two mirrored 9 gig drives. The RAM on this server
is currently 256 megs. What are standard recommended specs for x number of
devices and x number of maps? Thanks................
