I'm using Squid as the proxy and I have Squidguard running as a Content filter and if squidguard fails it goes unnoticed because squid is still running.... I was looking for a one line html request that would server me a page through the proxy something on the effect of http://proxy.mydomain.com:9112 get http://www.inapropriatedomain.com any Ideas? Thanx -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Morris, Scott Sent: Monday, August 12, 2002 12:27 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Proxy On our systems the squid proxy uses port 9119, so I created a custom service for TCP 9119 and when 9119 isn't there, it reports as down. If all you are checking is the proxy, then this is easy. The problem is when you are trying to test the status of a device on the other side of a proxy, because the proxy accepts your connection, and starts its own communication to the device. I need to make sure that the proxy is running. I have not found a way to do an http proxy request using whats up yet.?
