GASP! Reboot? Microsoft? Why.....that's unheard of. ;-)
Sure would be nice if WhatsUp would run on Linux...hint hint.

I have said somewhat similar experience where WUG says down but a ping from a dos prompt on the same server gets a steady response. I rebooted and all was well again. -----Original Message----- From: Gene Sugg [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 8:42 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Incorrect polling Greetings all, Well I have my first challenge with Whatsup in about a year. All of the sudden Whatsup is reporting every device on our network as being down. When in fact it is not. I can ping the addresses and verify that the device is up and running and has been for some time. In the course of the day getting 500+ messages and popup windows can get rather annoying. Anyone have any idea what might cause this behavior from WhatsUp. I am running 7.02 on a W2K box. Thanks for your suggestions.
