Yeehaw! Seems that clearing the arp tables did the trick. Thanks, all

Your arp table could be messed up. I would delete your arp table....arp -d.
Had similar problems with the status of my switches.

GASP! Reboot? Microsoft? Why.....that's unheard of. ;-)
Sure would be nice if WhatsUp would run on Linux...hint hint.

When was the last time that the box was restarted?? I have said somewhat
similar experience where WUG says down but a ping from a dos prompt on the
same server gets a steady response.
I rebooted and all was well again.

Greetings all,

Well I have my first challenge with Whatsup in about a year. All of the
sudden
Whatsup is reporting every device on our network as being down. When in
fact
it is not. I can ping the addresses and verify that the device is up and
running and has been for some time. In the course of the day getting 500+
email
messages and popup windows can get rather annoying. Anyone have any idea
what
might cause this behavior from WhatsUp. I am running 7.02 on a W2K box.
Thanks for your suggestions.
