If those are Cisco 5500 switches as opposed to a total number of switches, you will not be able to do it yet. It has to do with the way Cisco builds their traps. What I do is have it send alert on any trap received. At the switch level I adjust the severity level at which it reports. It is a work around, but, for the most part works.
Hope that helps. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2002 2:16 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Question about alerting via SNMP Traps Sup G's I have a group of 5500 switches and i want to set it up so that SNMP Traps are sent to the WUG server (already done) but i wanna have WUG alert on certain traps...IE. power supply failure.
