OK, Denika drones- enough noise on this list! Every time there's a question about MRTG with WUG, there's at least one response from a Somixite.
This list has been an extremely useful source of information over the past couple of years, but it's beginning to feel a bit like Somix's soapbox for hawking their wares... I know it's a tempting medium, with a perfect demographic, but Somix is beginning to feel like those annoying X10 emails. What's next, banner ads on www.ipswitch.com? If one of the non-Somix employed members wants to post how Denika has solved a problem for them, that's legitimate and appropriate to this list. I've pulled an eval of Denika down, and agree it is a nice tool (aside from the requirement of an Apache install) for automating the setup of most of the same values that I monitor with MRTG. I may even convince several clients to purchase it... Maybe this is just my Monday-morning- pre-coffee rant; I hate to be the grump... anyone else on this list take exception to the (admittedly light so far) marketing content on this list? At least limit it to no more than one plug a month, Ok? Flames to my personal email accepted- I'll reply (nicely) to all. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Krygeris" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 23, 2002 6:18 AM Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG & MRTG ? > Here is my shameless plug.
