Add an alert to the device that uses a large trigger value. Say you are poll this device at 60 second intervals.
2:30 am + 3.5 hours = 6am 3.5 hours is 210 down polls assuming 60 second poll cycle on your map (an alert with a trigger of 210 will alert you 3.5 hours after the device goes down, assuming it reaches a down count that high.) I'd add a fudge factor of a few polls so that you are in your SMS window when the alert is triggered (say 215). You actual polling cycle may require you to recalculate the numbers above. hth Adrian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 9:01 AM Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Alert if still down at certain time > I currently have a device that is down every Monday morning from 2:30 AM > until 5:30 AM for a normal weekly backup.
