Title: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] monitoring disk space

As you outlined I have already compiled the perform.mib into What's up gold. I am using oid 1.3.6.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.5.1.3 instance 2.67.58 for C drive and instance 2.68.58 for D drive. These are the OID's that what's up gold gives me when I browse for % of free disk space. If they are wrong has the compiling screwed up or is it me? Again any help is welcome.

Thanks, Jay

Yes, you can. But you miss also perform.mib and perform.dll files provided
with snmp4w2k. So you can put this oid string in your brouwser but he you
get a error msg: "unknow object". So you need compile perform.mib into
WhatsUp MIB database "mibextra -p2 "c:\path\file.mib""

With OID string you are using for read C drive??

Hi,

i think you  are using wrong OID string to read D partition. What you can
do download SNMPUTIL from www.snmp4tpc.com and do snmp walk.
snmputil walk 127.0.0.1 public  .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.4

 Hi all,
O.K. first I am a rookie to snmp. Hope someone can help. I have installed
What's up Gold and used snmp4win2k to bring in the performance counters, as
I need to monitor disk space. Great, I can monitor the C drive with no
problem but receive a result of 0 for drive D on all machines.

Ant thoughts are appreciated
Jay
