Zeng, You need to create a custom service.
Option 1: Type - TCP Service on port 1433 (MS sql default) Option 2: Type - NT Service called "MSSQLServer" You'll probably want to monitor the SQL agent service too, make sure your WUG machine has domain access to check the NT services also. Any one has created a custome service to monitor the availability for the MS Sql Server? Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
