Hi,

Can anyone help me on this one? In the steps given to me below to move WUG, it says
that I need to uninstall IIS. Is this really necessary or can I just change ports. If
this is necessary, an explanation why would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Here's what I did to successfully transfer my WUG 7.02 installation to a
new server (with some under the table assistance from a WUG
techie.....Thanks!).

Steps to move WUG installation to a new server:

1. add new server to current server's domain and map drive to new server
2. copy over entire WhatsUp folder to new server(may not want to include
Logfiles subfolder, as it takes added time)
3. install WUG 7.0 CD on new server, then apply 7.01 and 7.02 patches
4. import the WhatsUp folder from the current server's registry under
HKLM\Software\Ipswitch
5. re-assign current server's static IP address to new server; make sure
that the data port is connected to the proper VLAN for the static IP
address
6. a reboot for the network configuration changes and then uninstalling
IIS is needed to enable the web view and successfully log in

Hi all,

Does anyone know of an easy way to move WUG 7.02 from one server to
another?

Thanks
