Title: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Off Topic - Monitor # of W2k Users

I tried the same thing, without luck.  I believe this is a terminal server problem.  Once we installed Citrix we were able to monitor the number of users using the server.  Since users don't actually log onto the machine you might not get accurate results.

I have tried that OID and it shows 79 users, when actually I currently only
have one user on the system.

I have just started graphing that Item to see if it changes as users login
and out.

Thanks
Steve

I know someone from Somix is subscribed to this list, but here's a link
to some MRTG templates. I noticed one for "Win2k # of Users"...

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Off Topic - Monitor # of W2k Users

This is off topic, but I believe that several users here use MRTG and
hope
that someone has some idea's.

I have a HP LC2000 server running Windows 2000 as a Terminal Server.
Using
MRTG I monitor processor, disk usage and other parameters.  I would also
like to monitor the number of users connected or active or anything.

Does anyone have any idea's of what SNMP object may help ??

I have used GetIF to walk the SNMP table, but have not seen description
that seems relevant.

Thanks
Steve Murphy
