I tried using the Outage Report, but it still doesn't show what I am looking for. What I want to know is if there is any way in Whatsup Gold to run a report to display the windows event viewer events that are stored in the EV*.tab file? Or would I have to use something like excel and filter out what I want? TIA.

The performance Reports are designed to use the WhatsUp Gold statistics data from the ST*.tab files. You can get a text report from the EV*.tab files: Reports->Outage Report ... It puts them in the EV-2003-02-23.tab file and I can open it in >notepad and read the contents. What I would like to do is use it as a data source in the performance reports, but I can select it from the >drop down menu. The only selection I have is the wugstatdata.tab file for the data source. > Dan > -----Original Message----- > From: Anthony Valuikas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 10:15 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] logging windows events > Does the WUG log file not have the information you need? > Tv > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Eyster, Daniel > Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 8:55 AM > To: ' ([EMAIL PROTECTED])' > Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] logging windows events > I am trying to figure out if I can use Whatsup Gold to log the windows events in event viewer. I figured out how to have Whatsup Gold >send me an email alert when a certain event occurs in the event viewer. However, I would like to know if Whatsup Gold can also send this >information to a log file or database so that reports can be created. Is something like this possible with Whatsup Gold?
