There should be under the SNMP section a variable called trap destination. Put the WUG server ip address there. Make sure that you also enable traps.

Snmp on Laserjet 4000 (snmp for noobs) Hi! Sorry for this off-topic subject. But if this forum cant answer my question then I think none can. I have lots of HP Laserjet 4000N that I want to snmp-watch in WUG. Rather new to the world of SNMP I know that there are two ways of getting info from WUG. A) WYG check a SNMP value and alert if it dont match. B) The printer send a trap when something happens and WUG is set to action of the triggers. I have set the communityname, setup SNMP on the wug-server and also activated snmp in wug and on the device on the map. And also imported laserjet Mib's. The problem is that I cant find where on the printer (laserjet 4000N) to set trap destination. I have serached for this entry with telnet, web-instarface and also HP Web jetadmin, but I cant find anywhere to set this value. Does anyone know how to do? Also, has anyone any hints on how to best implement a SNMP monitoring on Laserjet printers?
