ah - I'd keep your notification process as simple as possible.  You have two
links in your notification chain that can break.

I also DO NOT use anything but the direct IP address of the mail server
delivering the mail.  (example: [EMAIL PROTECTED])  No chance for a
DNS failure to stop your mail from getting through.
