Hello,

I've got a system with WUG 8.03 on win2k. We're trying to monitor SNMP
traps on the system, and the traps log correctly (from the quick status
log-- the ip address and server names were sanitized to 1.2.3.4 and
SERVERNAME for posting):

20031117 043746 EVENT SNMP Trap/nt sysmon log entry 1.2.3.4
Trap(org.9.83.121.115.109.111.110.76.111.103-6.2031)
org.9999.1.0="Counter: \\SERVERNAME\LogicalDisk(D:)\% Free Space has
tripped its alert threshold. The counter value of 98.1110116383169 is over
the limit value of 20.  " org.9999.2.0=Unknown org.9999.3.0=SERVERNAME
org.9999.4.0=4 org.9999.5.0=0 org.9999.6.0="\\SERVERNAME\LogicalDisk(D:)\%
Free Space" org.9999.7.0=98.1110116383169 org.9999.8.0=over
org.9999.9.0=20 Addr:127.0.0.1 Int:6 Int:107374385520031117

Unfortunately, even though it is logged, I cannot get it to trigger an
alert. Alerts do work with this system because I've done snmp polling for
similar values and can get an e-mail.

I've tried creating an event state service for the event to cause to go
down, but that doesn't work either.

We seem to be having similar problems to the one discussed in these two
previous messages, but I couldn't find a resolution discussed:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg05852.html
and
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg05854.html .

Thanks in advance for any help.

Bill
