Mike, A work around could be to change the background color for the device.

Hello,
How would I script if "something happens" it would change the icon color of
a device to a specified color (i.e. syslog received for temperature high
warning on a device I'm monitoring in WUG)? WUG's syslog tool doesn't do
the trick as we need the color to change depending on the contents of the
syslog message.
Does anyone know or have sample asp code that could be used to do this?
